Crime against women have been on a rise. But when we look at ourselves we realize that these are our basic instincts.  Women get attracted to men. Men get attracted to women. It can’t be denied. Only some are comfortable with it, some are not. Some hide their sexual feelings, some do not. Some can control their desires, some cannot. Men who can’t control their desires sometimes become criminals. Women become victims. Both suffer.

Buddha realized that for a man no sight, smell, taste, sound, touch and thought are more pleasant than a woman’s. Same is for a woman. Hence, refraining from sexual misconduct, forms one of the five basic morality (Panchsheel) to be followed by laymen.

But how can we curb our basic desires of sex? If we observe carefully, what every civilization has done till date is focus on the differences between sexes. Even our language has played a major role in enforcing these differences. (Please read my blog need for a better language.)

Solution? We start consciously to focus on similarities between men and woman.

Try this simple meditation:

Close your eyes and repeat these instructions sequentially every day atleast once.

My hairs are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My forehead is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My eyes are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My nose is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My ears are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My mouth is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My face is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My brain is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My tongue and teeth are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My neck is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My shoulder, arms, palm are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My chest and internal organs are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My stomach and internal organs are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My private parts is same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My thighs are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My knees are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My calf and sheen are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My feet are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.
My toes are same and function same as a woman’s/man’s.

I think and talk like a man/woman because I have a man’s/woman’s body.
I can imagine having a woman’s/man’s body and think like a woman/man.
I fully realize that my mind is neither male nor female. My body makes me think so.

Now open your eyes.

You do not need to remember all the above instructions, but just understand the flow i.e. observing your body from head to toe.

Benefits?

  1. You won’t marry or love a woman/man because she/he is a woman/man, but you know and understand each other better.
  2. You won’t probably shy from a woman/man.
  3. You can love a man and a woman equally.
  4. It will be fine to marry a man or a woman or remain single. This can reduce our population considerably. When this happens male/female ratio won’t matter. (Read my blog saving humpty dumpty).
  5. Will it take fun out of sex? Probably not. You can better understand your partner’s needs and preferences and make sex more enjoyable for both.
  6. Women can feel comfortable and free and not be self-conscious when in public.
  7. Women can overcome inferiority complex, fear, disgust, anger, etc acquired through life or enforced by society.
  8. A larger acceptance can make our world a better and safe place for a woman to live in.

Let me know your experiences after practicing the above simple meditation. Please do mention whether it increases your sex drive or decreases your sex drive or it is useless. Please also mention the number of days you tried it.

Mind can matter and we can live in a better world where women and men can live and interact better as humans.

We all know the arts of predicting future. Some of the art includes Astrology, Palmistry, Numerology, Tarot reading, etc. Almost everything related to us can be used to predict our future or know about us.

We also know some of the arts of creating – future gemstones, Vastushastra, Fengshui and Fengshui articles, tokens (mantras, tantras, pyracards), etc. But these are all passive means of creating Future. With these methods we do not have any control over how these affect our future. We cannot even find direct connection between these methods and the future supposedly created by them.

Critics will remain critics, but those who know, know that they really work. The only problem with these is they are not exact science and science is never going to accept it no matter how perfect they become (‘superstitious science’ – probably my next blog). The problem is not with the art of predicting future, but the subject matter they are dealing with – life and future.

The same laws which creates future, makes the art of predicting and creating future possible. Let us see the active methods of creating future.

 1. Will Power

Humans have a special gift of free will. Humans can make things happen with this will. This makes us special among all the beings in this world. With a never say die attitude we can achieve anything we wants. With discipline, determination and efforts a person can change the course of his future. This brings us the equation –

100% confidence = 100% success.

But this is where the real problem lies with will power. You may easily connect with this equation –

99% confidence + 1% doubt = 100% failure.

With even 1% doubt you are engrossed with fear of future and all your knowledge and efforts seems to be wasted. You are usually exhausted and drained both physically and mentally. This is not to say that Will Power is bad. Time has seen people with strong Will Power emerge out of most difficult situations against all odds.

2. Mind Control

You have probably heard about it. It is known by different names – Subconscious Mind Control, NeuroLinguistic Programming(NLP), Brain Entrainment, Self Hypnosis, Autosuggestion, Creative Visualization/Imagination and Lucid Dreaming. These are different methods/names for actively using meditative states for creating our destined future, habit control, memory enhancement, relieving headaches & pain, stress release and everything that is possible with a meditative/ imaginative/ focused mind. There is a bit of science behind Mind Control.

Brain Functions – Our Left Brain is associated with imagination and creativity, while Right brain is logical, reasoning and mathematical. We either use our Right Brain or Left Brain most of the time. With mind control we train our brain to use both sides of our brain and to its full potential.

Brainwave Frequencies – There has been a lot of research on various brain frequencies/states of mind and their benefits. What is interesting is that these states of mind can be induced by meditation, simple instructions, music/sound or even flashing lights & colors. The trick lies in attaining these states and using it creatively and effectively.

 3. Karma

Because of our intentional actions, good or bad, we create our good or bad future. All such actions (cause) and their reactions (effects) are called Karma. It forms a complex cycle which may be called the Law of karma. Karma is the major reason why most form of predicting future are true. And Karma is a sure enough way to change our future. Depending on the Laws of Karma our present actions can enhance, reduce, nullify or create our destined future. We all have our religion with us to help us maintain morality and do good and create a better future. For those who don’t believe in karma or religion have our legal system which can be followed. Only our legal system does not award for good actions.

You can find my hand chart helpful for practicing. You can find it here.

You can read more about karma here.

I have attached a presentation file, I used during a learning session on this topic. You can find it here.

Skeptics will remain skeptics, but mind can matter and you can actually create your future.

All our languages have evolved over many years. Over years they became more and more complex adding more words, splitting into different dialects, needing dictionary, multilingual dictionary and need for translation.

What is common among all languages, is the influence of our perception of things. This perception of things in similar way benefits us in translation and transliteration. Thus we have an almost equivalent word for almost every word in every other language.

But our perception of our world had been far from perfect. This has been reflected in all the languages till date. For years men of wisdom have realized our wrong perception of our world. They have been teaching us to view things correctly.

But how imperfect is our perception and our language? Read the rest of this entry »

It has been long standing dispute, whether there is God or not. Ask anyone, whether God exists, and what we have is an endless debate with no conclusion. God is the base for almost all religions. Nirvana is the base of Buddhism. But neither God nor Nirvana have yet been acknowledged, accepted, approved, disapproved by Science. Thus science does not approve or disapprove any religion and its base. And how can science dare to do so? Past is witness to the struggle science did to prove that earth revolves around sun, that earth is round and not flat, that plants & trees have life, that space is relative, that time is relative….

Dan Brown the best selling author of books like ‘Da Vinci code’, ‘Angels & Demons’, ‘Digital Fortress’ and ‘The Lost Symbol’ have frequently mentioned in his books that most religions and its scriptures are flawed over time by lesser minds with higher influence. His latest book, ‘The Lost Symbol’ raised two controversial issues – ‘Neotic science’ and ‘apotheosis’. ‘Neotic science’ though touted as science, has not yet been accepted as science. ‘Apotheosis’ issue was raised, but not concluded.

The issue still remains. Does God exist? Is apotheosis possible? Read the rest of this entry »

There are many mental disorders or illness like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, hypertension, etc. These and many other illnesses are well known and are treated by psychologists and psychiatrists. One problem with all these illnesses is that it is very difficult to determine when these patients should be referred to a doctor and when it is normal.

While above mental illnesses are well known and treated accordingly, there are other illnesses we do not acknowledge. These are illnesses which causes one to murder, rape, steal, bribe, suicide and do all things forbidden by both religion and law. Read the rest of this entry »

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the kings’ horses and all the king’s men
Could not put the Humpty Dumpty
Together again!

A kindergarten poem we all know and teach our children. The blog title must have given a hint of what I am talking about. You are right. Read the rest of this entry »

I have been fascinated by Time Machine ever since I heard & read about it. In past many have made fruitless attempts at making Time Machine a reality. Now most people know for sure that it is possible to travel in time but realize that it is not feasible to build such a time machine. Also nobody is yet able to build even a conceptual model of time machine. Still there are crazy people, mad scientists?, sane scientists hoping to build the Time Machine. Even I used to dream of making the first Time Machine, and yes I have indeed found it! Read the rest of this entry »

Blogs on Mind Can Matter

Today I am starting a new blog ‘Mind Can Matter’. I have always been interested in the capabilities of human mind. Since my childhood I used to read any book I could have my hands on, mostly to understand the riddle called life. I grew up with lots of why’s. Some answers I could find, some I couldn’t. Some took years to find an answer.

This blog is my journey to find answers to all the questions my mind have raised. I have found that mind can matter on most matters. It keeps links to our questions and problems and connects them when the answer is available.

The thoughts and ideas on this blog are my own and may not in any way have any scientific or philosophical base. This is purely the result of my exploration of the mind’s capabilities and possibilities.
